I studied under the University of London, achieving a certified Junior/ Secondary teaching certificate with History being my main subject. This allowed me to become a professional teacher with 43 years of continuous teaching experience. A broad based knowledge of the National Curriculum with the ability to apply this knowledge to current learning situations.
I have been teaching KS1 and KS2 from 1970 to 2007, after this I taught at Tuition centres and became the Deputy Head of Wembley tuition centre in 2009 until 2014. I have also been a language coordinator for children between the ages of 5-11 with English as a second language.
I currently have been running my own tuition centre since 2015 and teaching at a previous tuition centre in London. I have performed hundreds of parent interview to determine a students academic needs.
Since I have had a tutor I have a lot more confidence my results have improved and I have felt confident enough to start putting my hand up in class again. Steve makes me laugh!
Lottie, Aged 9 Student
Lottie & Harry have so much more confidence with their Maths and English skills and less anxiety about being tested on it. They never complain about having a “tutor”. Steve, was very kind and understanding and was able to built a good bond with my children from the first day. He is always on time and prepared for the lesson, and always finishes what he has started regardless of the time. He always encourages and praises my children for their good work. We can’t say enough good things about Steve and our experience with having a tutor. He is flexible with lessons and the prices are reasonable we would highly recommend him
